Easter Seal Camp Winfield
Located 21 kms outside Kelowna in a peaceful wooded setting, Camp Winfield is just 10 minutes from Lake Okanagan. The camp covers an open area plateau dotted with 60 foot evergreens. Eighteen acres of woods provide a tranquil, wilderness setting.
A heated outdoor pool, volleyball, barbecues and seven acres of lawn and playing fields provide a wide range of recreational opportunities.

¶ Rates:
Meals: Children/Adult
Breakfast $6.50/$8.00
Lunch $ 8.25/$9.75
Dinner $9.75/$12.25
Accommodation: Children/Adult
Linen included $22.00/$35.75
Without Linen $22.00/$27.25
Please Note: Use of grounds & facilities is free for overnight guests, however day guests
will be charged $6.00 per day. (One day consists of one 24 hour period). There is no charge for children 5 years and younger.
Camping Rates
RV's: $18.00 per unit with driver/$7.00 for each additional person
Tents: $14.00 per tent with 1 person /$7.00 for each additional person
Cabins: $14.00 per person/$7.00 for each additional person
Above rates apply to groups of 50 or more. Groups of less than 50 please add $2.00 per
person. All rates include three meals, accommodation, use of conference rooms
outdoor covered barbecue area, TV, VCR, pool and waterslide (in season)
sports equipment, and sports fields for the following activities: Basketball,
Badminton, Volleyball, Horseshoes, Road Hockey, Swings, Trampoline,
Amphitheatre and Campfire Site.
¶ Meal Times:
Breakfast 8:00 am
Lunch 12:00 noon
Dinner 5:30 pm
- We cannot ensure that food will remain hot (or cold) or fresh after these serving times.
- Requirements for people with special diets (allergies, diabetes, vegetarians etc.) will be accommodated when possible. Please discuss in advance.
- If your group needs a bag lunch for a day trip, or a barbecue meal; please arrange details 1 week prior to your arrival.
- Groups having evening snacks are requested to unplug the coffee urn and turn off any lights before retiring.
- Guests are responsible for clearing and wiping their tables and putting their chairs on tables after every meal.
¶ Maintenance & Breakage:
Please remember that all Camp Winfield facilities and equipment are intended for the use of the Disabled Children of British Columbia during our summer camping programs. Group co-ordinators must report any damage promptly and will be responsible to pay for any loss or damage to Camp Winfield property. Rental groups are expected to leave Camp Winfield in a clean and orderly condition. Please dispose of all litter in the receptacles provided. No sunflower seeds or confetti are permitted on Camp Winfield grounds.
¶ Fire Alarms:
Camp Winfield fire alarms are linked directly to both the Winfield and Kelowna Fire Departments. Any false alarm will result in an automatic $300.00 fine. This will be billed to the rental group along with all expenses incurred to replace glass or to refill fire extinguishers needlessly emptied.
¶ Supervision of Minors/ Dependants:
All activities must be closely supervised by a responsible adult. It is the responsibility of group leaders to ensure a high standard of care and safety of minor and dependent guests as well as their
compliance with Camp Winfield regulations and procedures.
¶ Liability: The Lion's Society of BC and Easter Seal Camp Winfield are not responsible for any injury or accident that may occur while individuals are at camp.
¶ Pets:
No animals of any kind are permitted on Camp property. Those bringing animals will be required to make arrangements outside the Camp for their care.
¶ Telephone Calls:
A pay phone is available at Walker House for use by guests. The number is 250-766-9993 and family and friends may be given that number to contact guests during their stay at Camp Winfield. The office phones are not available to guests although every effort will be made to ensure important messages are delivered if office staff is on duty.
¶ Smoking:
Smoking is NOT allowed inside any buildings and is restricted to designated outdoor areas. Please discuss this with Camp Manager when you arrive.
¶ Liquor:
All rental groups serving alcohol must post a liquor permit. Liability for any accidents involving consumption of alcohol is the responsibility of the permit applicant. Minors are not permitted to possess or consume alcohol.
¶ Medical Facilities:
A medical clinic is a five-minute drive from Camp. Kelowna and Vernon Hospitals are each a 30-minute drive away. We have a limited amount of First Aid supplies; therefore we suggest you bring a First Aid Kit with you.
¶ Security:
Camp buildings are secured at approximately 10:30 PM. No noise, loud music, activity etc. after 11 :00 PM or before 6:00 am unless prior arrangements have been made. Please be considerate of our neighbors.
¶ On the Last Day of Camp:
- Check out time from rooms is 9:30 am to allow sufficient time to clean before the next group arrives. This may be negotiated in special circumstances if staff is notified in advance.
- After the bedrooms have been emptied your group may continue with planned activities until your departure time.
- Please leave all areas reasonably clean and free of garbage.
- Return any items to their proper area (e.g. Dishes to kitchen).
- Check dresser drawers, bathrooms, etc. for personal belongings.
- If you have moved any furniture, please return it to the original location.
- Please review details of rental summary (total group number and other billing information) with Camp Manager.
